Lauren G. Meehan holds a BA in Art and Archaeology from Princeton University and completed her MA in Criminal Justice at Rutgers University. She studies art crime, more specifically museum theft and antiquities smuggling. Lauren currently works in philanthropy in her home state of New Jersey. Professionally, she serves on the Newark Arts Education Roundtable, the Newark Museum Education Committee, and the Newark Preservation and Landmarks Committee. She seeks to promote solutions for the problem of art and antiquities theft as an educator, student, advocate, and blogger.
